How do I verify my profile?

Verifying your profile adds another layer of security and allows other users to know that you are who you say you are.

To verify your profile, while in the Mutual app:

  1. Go to your Account page
  2. Tap "My Profile"
  3. Tap "Account Verification"
  4. Pose for, take, and submit the photo for approval
  5. We will review your verification attempt and approve it as soon as possible.

You will be prompted to submit a photo while doing one of our specified poses. Either pose is acceptable. Make sure to take your verification photo in a well-lit room and mimic one of our two verification poses to ensure that your verification is approved. Mutual reserves the right to reject a verification attempt if we cannot see you clearly or you do not pose correctly. You can check your status by navigating to My Profile > Account Verification after submitting to see if your verification is still pending, rejected, or verified. Our team will review the submitted photo as soon as possible, typically within 48 hours. Once your profile has been verified, a pink checkmark badge will appear on your profile for others to see.
