How Do I Chat with my Matches

So now that you have a match, how do you chat with them? To get to chatting you will need to tap the chat bubble icon on the bottom of your menu to navigate to your Chat screen (the middle icon). Here you will find all your new and current matches and chats!

New Matches

Once you get to your chat screen you will see a "New Matches" section at the top. Your new matches will stay here until someone makes a move and sends the first message. So, make the first move! If no one sends a message within seven days of matching, the match will expire and disappear. If this happens that match cannot be restored, so take your shot while you can!

Current Matches

Below the "New Matches" section you will find your "Current Matches". This is where you can find all of your current chats. If you want to continue your chat with someone you will tap on that person and you can continue messaging them there. Keep reading below for more information on messaging ;)

Messaging

To send a message, tap on the desired profile from your Chat screen, and you'll be taken to the messaging section of the app. You are not limited to how many messages you can send. You can also send GIFs using GIPHY and send audio messages. Mutual does not support sending photos at this time. However, if you are a MutualUp subscriber, you can Video Chat and see Read Receipts! This is your chance to get to know your match, so put yourself out there!
